Bassist Henry Franklin is a local legend and one of the finest straight-ahead acoustic bassists in southern California. His current quartet features pianist Theo Saunders, drummer Fritz Wise, and sax wiz Azar Lawrence, who's credits include Miles Davis and McCoy Tyner. The group performs some of the best John Coltrane and related music heard anywhere.
